I’m getting cheesed every time being asked: why don’t you take chilli? Well, why should I? Yes, I’ve been in singapore for more than 3 years and almost everybody in this country loves chilli, and of course curry.
I know there’s such saying “when in Rome, do as Roman do”. but I don’t have to, do I? Chilli or curry, these are the two spice I can’t stand. I don’t take chilli since I was born, why should I change my dining habit, just to pretend I’m associating with local? My colleage never have pork even though she’s not muslin, but no one keeps asking her: why don’t you take pork? It’s just a simple personal choice. Why make it so difficult?
Malayan don’t take pork, Buddhist don’t take beef, and I don’t take chilli.
